Trying to update the Nvidia web driver on my 2010 Mac Pro. The link is from Nvidia. I'm on current OS 10.11.6 I'm not too familiar with the Console but I did just. Nvidia GPUs receive driver updates soon after each version update of OS X. Only one driver is released by Nvidia and it includes support for all of their modern GPUs. You will not find individually named Nvidia drivers for OS X, they are all titled 'Quadro & Geforce Mac OS X Driver Release xxx.xx.xxxxx'. OS X 10.11.6 Hardware Compatibility. This is for 10.11.6 builds only. Download the latest nvidia web drivers for your exact version of el Capitan and restart.

- This evening Apple released the latest security update making the build number 10.11.6 (15G1108) with no NVidia Web available yet. If anyone locates a web driver that comes AFTER 346.03.15f03 then please let me know. If you have not updated with the latest security update then do not update if you want graphic acceleration.
- Oct 08, 2017 Earlier this year, I had an early-2008 Mac Pro 3,1 (8-core) Running Mac OS 10.11.6. I was able to get a GeForce GT 710 gpu working with the NVIDIA drivers. I sold that computer, and bought a MBPr. I loved the Mac Pro too much, so I bought another Early-2008 3,1. However, I can’t find the drivers for the 15G1011 version of Mac OS 10.11.6.

Nvidia Web driver won't load - easy fix4/4/2017 Hey Everyone, Been helping a few people out with this issue and an irate Dane just convinced me it needs a Blog post. Quite simply, the issue occurs when you install the Web Driver, do a reboot, and find that the OS X Default Driver is still selected. Even when you select the Web Driver again, on reboot you find it still is using the OS X Default. I have seen this myself and don't know exactly WHAT is happening. Good news, I know how to fix it. And at this point be very glad you have an MVC EFI card, because4 those with unfleshed cards are staring at a black screen. DO a good, old fashioned PRAM reset. Use the 4 key method or a terminal command, whichever you want. Point its, on next boot it will be on OS X Default again. This time when you select Nvidia Web Driver you will find it sticks. Has worked in 100% of cases so far. Enjoy your cMP, new ones just a year or two away! 4/8/2017 12:01:22 pm I'm running a non-flashed 4gb GTX 960 in 2010 5,1 cMP and the machine refuses to wake-up / display anything after sleeping.
