Hello I have a 1990 Buick reatta my dash only reads
00 error electrical problem and service engine soon
sometimes my speedometer and other gauges will
turn on for maybe 1 or 2 min but then stops working
again all lights on dash work with the test button
I’ve already replaced the ecm anyone know what
this might be?
I have a 1990 Buick Reatta 3800 engine, dash is blank except for 0 0 - speed ometer a message, electrical problem, and a message, ERROR could this be caused by crumbling insulation on crank sensor wir. I having a problem with digital dash and electric climate control unit. When starting the 1988 buick reatta, sometimes the digital dash will not come on at first and if and when it does come on it pops off and then after an hour or two all of a sudden it pops on and may or may stay on. There are 2 different problems that could be happening. 9 times out of 10, the motor still works and there is a simple test that you can conduct to figure out if the motor is working; have someone else push the headlight button while having your head near the headlight motor, and if it is making a whining noise, then the motor is attempting to work. / 1990 Buick reatta dash problem. 1990 Buick reatta dash problem. When you pull the cluster, clean the contacts and spray with cleaner (WD40 also will be ok)plug it back in and see if it makes any difference......just cleaning the contact will fix maybe 15%......You can also look for a used cluster...1990-1993 Riviers is the same and they made a lot more Riviera than Reatta making them easier to find.
